W.C. & Miller To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to inform you of what I consider to be the courteous, highly professsional, and exemplary conduct of one of your employees, Mrs. Lise Howe - who recently assisted my family and I in acquiring property during my military reassignment into the National Capitol Region (NCR). I have been a military member for over 20 years, and have undergone several Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves throughout my career. Each move contains many challenges that are inevitably magnified when it involves satisfying the requirements of family members in an unfamiliar area. Our move to the NCR was, of course, no exception. However, it took on an even more challenging and disconcerting dimension by our initial inability to find a home that met our requirements. Upon a referral from personal friends of mine, I contacted Ms. Howe on or around 13 June 2005 to request her help in finding a home. From the onset, Ms. Howe demonstrated a professional yet sympathetic demeanor and expressed a determined and conscientious desire to "find (me) a good home." As we began the home buying search, Mrs. Howe demonstrated the knowledge, insight, and integrity one would expect from a representative of one's interests, making me feeling secure and optimistic throughout our search. Her patience and professionalism helped alleviate what had been up to that time a very stressful and difficult relocation. Ultimately, we were able to find a beautiful home in Bowie, Maryland that conformed to the specifications of my wife and I. Afterward, Mrs. Howe proved a valuable and knowledgable ally throughout the closing process. After we closed, Mrs. Howe's exemplary service continued, as she provided us with referrals to home improvement and maintenance specialists who helped bring our home up to our accustomed living standards. Because we were new to the area and were not knowledable of whom we could depend on to make these improvements, Mrs. Howe's referrals were vital and, as it turned out, very helpful. Because of her superb service, integrity, and quality as a person, my family and I regard her as a friend to this day. Overall, Mrs. Howe is an agent who demonstrates the kind of professional excellence and personal integrity and quality that makes her an asset to any organization she occupies. As a military member who is required to move every 3-5 years, I know from personal experience how arduos relocation can be, and how easy it is to be taken advantage of by real estate agents and others who stand to profit from such occurrences. However, Mrs. Howe demonstrated no other intention but to ensure that we found the house we required and that our resettlement was made as easy as possible. Overall, I know that my family's relocation would have been far more difficult - and perhaps even more costly - without her help. Thanks again for your efforts and consideration. Sincerely,

Dear Lise, I wanted to take this opportunity, now that I have fully moved in to my new home, to thank you for all of the wonderful support and guidance (and fun!) you have provided as my realtor during the past year. The situation was complicated by the incredibly fast market, as well as rising prices that made it difficult to calculate what I could afford based on the sale of my previous home. You were incredibly knowledgeable and patient with helping me to narrow my search to the area of Rockville that I now call home, looking at countless townhouses that were almost right. I always felt that you were doing the utmost to help me in putting together a successful offer and at making things go smoothly with the seller’s agent and at settlement. You always did what needed to be done, even if it meant driving all over Montgomery County to get it done. Last, but certainly not least, you brought me a fabulous dinner just at the right time on moving day, which I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciated. It was like a miracle when I was too exhausted to even order out! Anyway, I love my new home too much to think about moving any time soon, but I would recommend your services to anyone I know who is buying or selling in DC, Maryland or Virginia.
